Or horizontally. Rack cards are typically associated with the travel industry. The name derives from the "rack" usually found in hotels and other travel venues that contain various 4" x 9" cards and brochures that promote area attractions, lodging, restaurants and other points of interest.

Although originally intended to target vacationers and business travelers, a color rack card can be adapted to any industry and purpose because of its convenient size. It can fit into business envelopes and consumes little counter space for point-of-purchase enticement.
